More Than Technique. A Way to Build People.
Master Carlos Machado grew up in Rio de Janeiro inside one of the most respected families in martial arts, training alongside the Gracies from his earliest years. What he found on the mat was never just technique. It was a path for becoming a stronger, steadier version of yourself.
When he settled in the United States, that became the mission: help people grow stronger in body, mind, and character through structured training. The goal has stayed the same ever since. Build a place where anyone, child or adult, can earn real confidence and learn to believe in themselves.
He still teaches that way today, personally, on the mat in Carrollton. Beginners, families, competitors, and professionals all learn the same authentic Jiu-Jitsu, scaled to where they are.

We Don't Chase Hype. We Build Real Skill.
- Discipline
- Progress comes from consistency, effort, and respect for the process. Show up, do the work, and the results take care of themselves.
- Structure
- A clear system creates real improvement. Every student follows a curriculum that has been refined over thirty years, not a random mix of moves.
- Earned Confidence
- Belts and confidence are earned through effort, never handed out. What a student builds here is theirs, because they worked for every bit of it.
- A Culture Worth Keeping
- A supportive room keeps students coming back for years. People train harder, and stay longer, when the academy genuinely has their back.
My goal is simple. Take the average student and make them above average, on the mat and off it. That is the whole job.
